Our newest art collection is called
"Bluesmen", a series of pastel paintings by artist Mark
Hayden. The portraits on
display are of some of the great blues masters, and if you've been in for
lunch or dinner in the last week or so, you already know how spectacular
they are. An artist reception
will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, with live blues performed
by Paul Prue and Mark Hayden (that's right, Mark is an
old-fashioned rennaisance man).
This night will be a blast, try not to miss it (if you're coming
for dinner, we do recommend reservations). Reception begins at 7:30 p.m., and
music will follow. Mark Hayden of Bradford, MA
achieved Copley Master status in 1993. He was the featured artist the same
year in American Artist Magazine in an article written by Charles
Movalli. Hayden started his professional career in 1983 and has painted and
taught art ever since. Most recent projects include an ongoing series of Blues Masters, eight
of which are in the collection of Grammy Winner and Blues Hall of Fame
Inductee James Cotton. Hayden's portraits, figures, landscapes and still life paintings are in
collections across the country. |
